2024 Pebble Creek Coaching Staff

Sara Gaston

Head Coach

Hi everyone! My name is Sara Gaston and I am the Head Coach at Pebble Creek! I have been swimming for 20 years, with 11 of those years being in the GRAL league when I swam for the Mechanicsville Marlins. I also swam competitively for PSDN and BAC for 8 years until l moved onto college swimming at Washington and Lee University. At WEL, I was able to become an All-American, an 11x conference champion, and qualify for NCAAs – but what I enjoyed most was being on a team! This is my 9th year working as a swim instructor and 4th year working as a Head Coach. I am so excited to be coaching again at Pebble Creek and cannot wait for another great season! Go Piranhas!

Tyler Hill

Associate Head Coach

Hi, my name is Tyler Hill, and I will be the Associate Head Coach for the Piranhas this season. I am currently a senior at MHS, and have been swimming for 12 years now. I first began swimming when I was six for the Mechanicville Marlins. I swam a total of 5 years for the Marlins before moving to Pebble Creek, where this will be my 8th year as a Piranha. I have been swimming year-round since starting at the Patrick Henry YMCA when I was eight. Later, in high school, I joined the MHS Swim Team and started swimming year-round for the Hanover Hurricanes where I have been swimming ever since. My favorite stroke is butterfly, and I have always enjoyed hanging out with my teammates during the swim season. In the fall I will be attending Roanoke College where I will major in Engineering Science as well as swim on their swim team. This will be my third season as a coach for PCST and I look forward to another awesome season.

Jackson Magill

Assistant Coach

My name is Jackson Magill and I am 17 years old. I am a junior at Mechanicsville High School and I have been swimming since I was 10. I currently swim for Pebble Creek, Hanover Hurricanes, and Mechanicsville High School. I have enjoyed being a CIT for Pebble Creek the past two years and I am excited to be one of the coaches this year.

Olivia Minton

Assistant Coach

Hello Piranhas, my name is Olivia Minton, and I am so excited to be joining the coaching staff for Pebble Creek. I started swimming for Pebble Creek in 2017 when I was 10 years old. I began swimming year-round for the Chickahominy YMCA in 2018 and finally with the Patrick Henry Piranhas in 2019. I have been swimming competitively with Hanover Aquatics since 2020, a USA swim club. I have met some of the most important people in my life through swimming. I am a 4th year member of the Mechaniesville High School Mustangs, where I have won the Sportsmanship Award, competed at Regionals and this year, will compete at the VHSL State Competition. I spent two years as a C.I.T. with Pebble Creek and this summer will be my third summer as a certified lifeguard. I also teach private lessons. As a junior in high school, I am involved in National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, BETA Club, SCA, and am Treasurer of the Junior Class Council. Outside of swimming, I love to sing – you can find me singing in my church youth group or the National Anthem at a sporting event. I also love to cook and all things Disney. Swimming has taught me so much and I cannot wait to share that experience with others.
